Mini Series: The Wanda Series.

This is a mini series called "The Wanda Series". It's mini because there aren't that many photos, and close to being randomly taken. These photos were taken for a French project to replicate Robert Doisneau's photograph called "Wanda". The photo consists of a woman as a star of her show performing for many men. The photo shows two sides; the inside of the club and the outside on the streets of a city. Two subjects include the woman inside the club and the dog close to the entrance of it. I'm not sure if there are any symbols concerning the woman or the dog, but if so, it's interesting, because I like symbolism and analyzing pieces of work.

However, my replication is not included in the series. These are just interesting photos taken in the attempts at replicating "Wanda". Overall, they're outtakes, but we (my brother and I) captured interesting photos in the dark, which are hard to attempt because we used a digital camera (RGBRGBRGB PIXELS.).

The ones that have a woman in them, are me. The others are my brother, Tomi.

I really liked this photo. The contrast of white and black, and the hint of the blue dress are prominent. The shadows shape the figure nicely, and make it more visible.

What I particularly liked about this photo was the shadow of the arm blending in with the arm itself. It almost seems like the shadow is connected to the body, kind of like a ghost. To me anyway.

Tomi says hello! :)

Again, shadows and slight contrast. Notice how I try to hide my head in almost all the photos in the series.

Eerie, huh?

The Game Has Changed Series

So I came back with the series.

This one is called The Game Has Changed Series. The name comes from the Tron Trailer, as said in my last post. The song is called "The Game Has Changed" written by Daft Punk. The series features Thomas Nguyen, my brother.

I have to say, it was a good series to shoot, but editing was a pain. I don't like that some of the RGB pixels showed up, due to my digital camera. a;sfjf;ajsf. I need a better one, but in this economy, you make due, right?

My most favorite one, because the two faces of him and the circulation of the light.

My second favorite. Again, two bodies with one power.

He loves to rave. Get him rave lights! this kid needs some.

so it has been 6 months since my new batch of photos. SIX MONTHS. but now that it's winter break, I've found time to edit some new photos. I have three new series and new photos. I've never posted a series on here, have I? Well basically, my series have one specific theme or look to it, and each photo consists of those characteristics within the series.

Some series that I have done are the Vampire Series

(bad quality due to it being JPG. :( October, 2008)

My Wedding Series

Disturbia Series

Placebo Series

Wonder Series

I also made an Official Black and White Series and a Promotion Series, but those are on the other computer. Anyways, these are just samples from my other series. I hope you like them. The majority of them were taken in 2007-2008ish, mainly because I had a like and no homework. >.>

But in the next post, I will post my "The Game Has Changed Series" featuring my brother as the model. As you can see, the name comes from the trailer for the new Tron movie. I absolutely love the song, and in my photos, he's raving, so I guess it matches. hehe.

So, will come in a bit! :)

Hello all. I haven't worked on the Metric Series yet. I've started work, so yeah....I'm a busy bee again. :(

Here's a new batch. As you can see, some look the same as others. It was just a camerawhore day. xD But with good intentions. And we also had a s'mores day too! :) Have a look-see:

Day at Santa Barbara beach, where we saw a dragon...or is it? ;o

Day Home Alone and Free Time:

I liked this one best of all. Perfect contrast, perfect lighting, perfect everything. I barely had to edit.

S'mores Day:

Some Random Shots:

I was in front of a mirror. I caught the image, because of the sunlight beaming through. This too had amazing natural lighting. The eyes are bold and dark and mysterious. It looks swell.

Some Toki Photos. Gotta have them:

Demon Dog.
Lurks.
because he's our baby. :3

equalizing. ~

the Metric Series will be coming soon. keep noted on that.

Stadium Love

Metric Series: Coming Soon.

and for those of you who don't know who they are, probably one of the best bands I've come across by. They are like Juli from 2007. Same feeling, and the songs are amazing. Their album inspired me, and I plan to make a series by taking a photo in correspondence to one of their lyrics. Let me tell you, this will be ambiguous, yet amusing. I'm certainly queen of ambiguity with my works.

Buy their album. I think I will.

So...this will be the first time that I actually reveal my photography "publicly" since myspace.

For those of you who have befriended me on myspace, you guys know that I have always posted my photography on there. If you guys still go on myspace that is, some of my series were privated for personal reasons. I'm not sure if I would post up any series on here, but maybe one or two photos once in a while.

Anyway, if this is your first time on here, overall, this used to be a photography blog, where I posted a picture according to my mood. Now, I will be posting some of my new stuff, since I hardly ever use myspace anymore. This will be kind of new. Some of you guys suggested flickr....but I feel like posting on a blog to speak more about the photos. No more cryptic captions for now, like I used to. xD This time, you guys can see what goes on through my head when I took the photos. If you guys like what you see or would like to criticize or anything, you know, give me some pointers or new tricks, you should comment! I like comments. .__.

and just to let you know, this blog is very hard to keep up with, because of my schedule. But this summer, I hope to update more often. I'll actually have time. xD

Anyway, some recent ones:

In this picture: Tomi, Eric, and Mindy, at Santa Barbara Beach

In this picture: Mindy, at Santa Barbara Beach
Me, during AP week. Dx

Dark, High Contrasts:

In these photos: Tomi, and Me

So yeah... if you guys like them, don't be afraid to comment, criticize, or whatever. Thanks! :)

Howdy. What's up?

It's been a fairly long while, and this is because I've started my sophomore year of high school. That means no time whatsoever. Literally, I had no time for photography. No editing, no taking pictures, etc. But I'm back as of last night. I HOPE for a longer while, probably until the end of summer.

Hence since then, I have joined facebook, which lead me farther from myspace. I hardly ever use it anymore. It changed so much, and got so frustrating. Thing is, I'm gonna try and take a risk and try to display my photos for the public.

I doubt many would care to see this blog anyway. It was very hard to keep up with.

But I'm gonna try again, maybe also try to make a mini-job out of this.

Anyway, on with the photos. I'll display the ones that I have recently edited. Welcome back to the photography world of tracy! :)

On another note, when I was editing last night, I've developed an idea of having a universal series, as in, try to get as many people that want to participate in this series. This series will be called "Rainbow Vision". I've done 3 pics where the eyes are shades of rainbow. And I kinda wanted to try to make a huge series! I don't know if it will work. I'm still trying to debate on it because already, I don't have much time, but I really want to do it so badly. It sounds like a good idea too! If as many people as I've imagined would want to participate, the whole series would be finished in about a year. I might work on most of the photos during summer. We'll see what happens. :]

Here are some examples:
